About DSI

Developmental Services, Inc is a nonprofit agency established in 1975 to help children and adults with mental, physical, and emotional disabilities reach their greatest potential at home, work and in the community. DSI provides early intervention services as well as job training and job placement, independent and group living, life skills training, respite care and family support. DSI currently provides service to individuals in 37 counties in Indiana.

Vision: The elimination of barriers which restrict individuals with disabilities from community inclusion.

Mission: To provide services and support to people with barriers to attain self-directions, inclusion, personal fulfillment and productivity in all life areas.

Developmental Services, Inc. is a 501-C-3 not-for-profit organization that provides services for adults and children with mental, physical, and emotional disabilities. DSI was established in 1975 and provides residential living situations, job training and placement, respite care, family support, early intervention and many other services listed on our website.

DSI receives financial support from local Arc's, County Commissioners, individual and group contributions, local, state, and federal funds, Indiana Division on Aging and Rehabilitative Services, United Funds, and the United Way. All of the services provided by DSI are approved or certified by the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration, Indiana Department of Public Instruction and the Indiana State Board of Health. The programs are provided to individuals without regard to race, sex, creed, age, religion, national origin, or severity of disability. DSI is an equal opportunity employer.

DSI's operations are overseen by a representative board of directors and operated by professional staff. Selected programs meet standards established by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
