- Information about family rights and responsibilities in the First Steps system.
- Information and choices about services, providers, and service locations.
- Development of an individual Family Service Plan.
- Ongoing monitoring of services to ensure family satisfaction.
- Coordination among the families' various service providers.
- Financial Case Management to explain the use of private insurance and public funds to pay for services.
- Family-to-family connections.
