Dear Friend,
Renee learned essential skills at DSI that helped her get a job, live on her own, and have a family.
For more than 30 years Developmental Services, Inc. has helped many of our neighbors with mental and physical disabilities overcome tremendous obstacles in reaching their goals of greater independence.
Thanks to innovative services that include job training, semi-independent living and early intervention children and adults with challenges can dare to dream of having the same things that you and I do – a meaningful job that allows them to earn a paycheck, a place they can call home, the ability to access community resources such as libraries and parks, and the opportunity to make lasting friendships.
NOW DSI IS ASKING FOR YOUR HELP
A significant slump in the economy has caused DSI to loss critical industrial contract revenue and like many other not-for-profit 501 (C) (3) organizations, it has felt the squeeze of State and Federal funding cuts.
That is why we are asking our neighbors to invest in the future of those who face obstacles most of us can only imagine.
Your tax-deductible gift will help children with disabilities get early intervention services that will give them a needed head start when they enter public schools; You’ll provide vocational training that will help your neighbors get jobs and allow them to give back to our community; You’re generosity will allow individuals living in state-funded facilities to get their own apartments or their own homes.
We choose to give.
We choose to do our part.
We choose to give to the future of our community – not because we must or because it is expected, but out of deep concern for our friends and neighbors who aspire to become independent.
Please join me and make a difference.
Sincerely,
William Hadar
