Habilitation Services
DSI's Habilitation services are designed to promote health, welfare and the maximum potential of individuals. This includes developing social behaviors, interpersonal skills and cognitive skills such as handling emergencies, managing money and solving problems. DSI clients can also take advantage of recreation and leisure time to discover new interests. Other benefits include enhanced physical and mental health, training in assertiveness and accessing other programs and resources in the community.

About the Program
Habilitation Services provides individual and group training classes to adults with disabilities.
The thirty- to sixty-minute classes focus on goal-centered activities that may include but are not limited to daily living skills, independent living skills, educational opportunities, computer skills, and social skills. Additional class opportunities include choir, cooking and art. Habilitation instructors work one-on-one and in small groups to closely assist persons served in reaching their personal goals.
